Default What are the first modifications I should do?

Hello, I just got a 1996 f150..or atleast I think it's a 1996. I was just wondering what I should do first? And it is stock..even the sterio haha. And sorry for the bad picture, just a quick snap when looking at it.

What would you like it to look like? There are so many directions you can go with it.

My parents said they might get it painted matte black for me as a Christmas gift . I kind of want it to look mean and sound mean too haha without making the insurance go through the roof..since this is my first vehicle. Just wanting to know the best and most affordable modifications

For a mean look a matte black paint job would do the trick. Is the truck 2wd or 4wd?

Your first "mod" should be making it mechanically sound. Currently, the truck is 19 - 23 years old.

Start by going through and giving it a tune up with new plugs, wires, etc. Change all the fluids and address any items broke down from age/wear and tear.

The previous owner has already done that, he has been working on it for 2 months.

Even if the seller said that, it's still a good idea to do it yourself anyway.
