You have to be darn sure that box is water tight and you wont be able to hear them in the cab.

I've seen toolboxes with marine speakers inside and out. Perfect for tailgating.

Im just sayin my cab keeps most the bass in from my subs. You can hear um but they with the doors shut its faint over the exhaust. But having them inside that tool box plus outside the cab theres no way you could hear um. You could probably hear them shaking the tool box to pieces tho haha. But wt is right would be awesome for tailgating or workin outside or anything
