What did you do to your truck today?

Well finally got around to swapping the beam into my truck from my parts truck. One currently in my truck was damaged in a wreck that wasn't my fault. After this my entire front end will be new. Tie rod bushings, ball joints, tie rods, drag links, radius arm bushings, pivoit beam bushings, and cool insulators. This will all match nicely with my f250 could, front diff I rebuilt and referred a war and a half ago, and with that I did all new seals and wheel bearings plus ujoints in the front axles. Sounds like front is done. Just need to do body mount bushings soon, and rear spring pin bushings. Already did rear sway bar bushings. She's coming along slowly but surely!

Rear suspension
Yesterday with the help from a few good friends I finished my rear suspension on my 1995 f150.
The project started on Halloween, I'm relatively new to the auto industry an had to make several trips to the store an battled the weather. So the first few days didn't accomplish much besides set up. Started first thing Saturday morning and we were don't by 6! Passenger side was once replaced with rear hangers but they were harder to get out than the riveted drivers side! [ Both hangers were rotted so they pretty much fell off with a few cuts from the grinder an the pry bar. ]
All an all it wasn't a difficult job, fairly simple if you have a basic understanding of how a vehicle is put together. It sucked, it's not a job I advice you doing on the street like i had to. But i had a easy experience with my rear suspension.
Bought:
Dorman Leaf Springs
Dorman Rear Hangers & Shackles
I had to order from Ford the front rear shackle.

Good for you! There's always a sense of satisfaction when you do things yourself, even if it's a pain! And think of the money you saved too!
