Put in new LED bulbs in the dash since the cluster I just swapped in had some burned out bulbs. Got these from Amazon and they seem to do the trick: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Had enough to do the climate controls and the door panels too! Only problem I see so far is the ABS light stays on. But if it continues I'll just swap in an old bulb because I just love taking apart and putting together the cluster

What year cluster with a tach did you use? Do you know what truck it came from?

The cluster came from a 95 XLT with a 302 and automatic, and I put it in my 95 with a straight 6 and 5-speed. I re-used my speedometer since I wanted to keep the same mileage and not have the "P D N 1 2 3" for the automatic showing in the little window under the speedo. It worked out great! I did end up having to replace some light bulbs in it so I used LEDs. Only problem now is some of the warning lights stay on all the time (ABS, voltage) so I may have to change them back to standard bulbs. But all in all a very quick and easy upgrade!

I had the same problem Clint. Ended up just putting in LEDs in the 5 illumination sockets, turn signals, and climate controls. Everything else got long life 194's.

The LED's also work well on the door panels and in the glovebox. The dome light I would not recommend unless you get the aftermarket dorman lens that lets a lot more light through. It's not a bad investment for $5 because the original bulb gets smoking hot. I also put them in my third brake light because my stock one melted from the heat of the regular bulbs. I tried it on the underhood light but it cannot compete with a regular stock bulb.

Thanks for the info James! I already put the LEDs in the doors, but I'll try them in the glovebox and the third brake light too. I just ordered some LED 3156 bulbs to use in the reverse lights, hopefully they'll make it a little easier to see when I'm backing out of the driveway at 5 in the morning!!!
