Default New Torsion Bars

Today I installed NEW 55in torsion bars on my 2003 ford f150. I was the very first customer to have them made from swayaway.com. Up until i asked there was no one out there producing them for 97-03 f150. HUGE difference! They are 15% stronger than stock. NICE!!! Ask for Brian Skipper at swayaway.com if you want a set made.

Note- i had the 51in torsions but went with the 55in as all is needed is to slide back the rear cross member. Holes are already there. 55in torsions were offered for winch, snow plow, heavy duty , etc =)

Note2: See other post regarding same thing - https://www.f150forum.com/f7/afterma...3-f150-349768/

Only fluid that needs to be changed now is the coolant and that's getting done today.
BLD, I've done that exact same thing with a Jeep, but wasn't able to retrieve. Yeah, I was freaking mad as hell at myself!

At first it was like "well I guess I am not using 4WD any more" and then it was "well, I guess I did need an excuse to replace my axle u joints and spindle bearings."

But both of those thoughts came after laying on the floor of my garage for a few minutes, cursing my stupidity LOL.

Tonight I fought with the fuel filter replacement and won! Could not get the rear to release and after an hour, I finally got it. Went from 45 psi at KOEO to just over 50. Went from needle bouncing between 45-60 psi to a rock solid 50. Poured contents from old filter - looked like motor oil. Truck runs brilliant now.

I found out that there was a hidden subwoofer in my center console. I haven't been through the interior of my truck since purchasing it when I was deployed. I replaced a fuse, bought a new deck, and I found that I have kicker speakers in the front and rear. Not a bad day. hah

I also removed all of the purple tint on my windows. Next up will be to replace the carpet and the front seat belts.

Got my new Moog ball joints installed! It went so well I thought maybe I did something wrong! There was no blood, no tears, no swearing even!!! Saved about $400 over what the shop quoted me! I feel good enough to try putting in a Redhead steering box next! Hopefully that will go as well....

BTW, I found this Youtube channel of a guy with a 97 F250 OBS and he has a lot of good info that applies to our trucks too.

Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW8...kC7gSwu_Gcl4Hw
