weird idle

Default weird idle

I cleaned the throttle body on my 95 5.0 f150 with cleaner and for some reason now it idles high and low and wants to cut off when the gas is pressed and hesitates when moving from a stop..? any clue? Has to be something stupid..`

What cleaner did you use?

What he said. If you used a regular carb cleaner then you ate off the clear coat. That means you have to replace the throttle body.

wow... Yeah now i realiaze by accident i did use carb cleaner... How much do new throttle bodys cost or can u re coat the clear coat?

No you cannot re-coat them. This might be the time to look into a larger throttle body. Other than that the salvage yard is your friend.

I have anohter question why would that be making it cut out and make it idle different? just wanna know..?

Any chance that the throttle position sensor was damaged / ate up by the cleaner? Should be getting a trouble code, if so.
