Default Water circulation question

When my truck is running I should be able to look down into my radiator and see the fluid moving rite? If its not circulating it will just sit there rite?

i don't think you should be looking in the radiator when its running.
i would think it would be hard to tell if the waters moving in the radiator, give the radiator hose a squeeze if it fells like there's water in it it should be ok.
that was hard to describe with out leaving room for a joke in there

Well my problem is its overheating. I've replaced everything but the radiator and the upper hose. I didn't open the radiator while it was hot. I let the pressure out and let it cool off. Then I filled it back up and started the truck without the cap on and watched it as it ran. All it did was get hot and come out. But I didn't see it flowing or moving at all in the radiator. Its really really rusted and all I'm running rite now is water because I spent so much on parts.

If your remove the cap w/ engine cold, start truck.

No fluid movement at that time.

When Thermosat opens, as engine reaches normal operating temperature, flow will (or should) be seen.

try and flush the radiator if you don't see flow it might be clogged if its rusty. worst case you need a new radiator or water pump.

I replaced the water pump already.

I put the thermostat in the way I took the old one out. Plus I've installed one backwards once before and its obvious almost instantly because water comes flying out where the thermostat is.

I ordered a new 2 row radiator.it should be in early next weak sometime so well see what happens

Did you get the good thermostat? The cheapies are just that, cheap. Had a few brand new cheapies stick shut right after I put them on. I'd pull it and test it before shelling out the money for a new radiator.
