Default volt gauge

sometimes like once every 2 days when i come to a stop my volt gauge goes down and my engine idles real low then it all goes back up why is this i was thinkin the alternator is messed up

I am thinking the low idle is causing the voltage drop, not the other way around. Clean the throttle body and IAC and see how it does. Check for vacuum leaks too.
