All that (but with MUCH more detail, as the link you quoted explains) should be in your signature. WHICH 4sp? Miles, maintenance, mods, damage, repairs, options...

That VIN breaks out to a 90 F150 with a 5.8. The engine is an H code. 351 Windsor. I don't believe Ford put any C's or M's in a truck that late.

Steve, this is the data page on the door frame. The VIN matches the title: 1988 with a 08/01 build date (?). Any idea what this could mean?

It could mean that you didn't follow & read the first link I posted. The build date on that VC label appears to be a typo. The PN of the label itself begins with "E4..." which is 1984. That label was replaced in 1990, so it would never have had ".../01" as a correct build date.

Thanks for the information on the VC Label. My apologies for posting the photo here. I've had trouble getting into SuperMotors. I look forward to reading the great info you have here.

There's nothing wrong with posting pics here - I just prefer to post mine on SMN because I don't have to re-upload them to each discussion forum I use.
