Default Vacuum Line Question

So I unbolted my catback, so the exhaust comes right out after the Y basically, there was a vacuum line connected to the cat that is now just hanging there, is this the EGR line/valve? Also can this cause any problems if not plugged? Truck started shaking terribly after taking it off and thinking its U-Joints but could be this...?

It's the smog pump line - used to direct fresh air to the cats - unhooking it shouldn't cause any performance problems. Might make the exhaust smell under the truck a little stronger.

Okay, so if my u joints were totally shot would that cause a crazy shuttering while giving her gas? It did seem to get a ton worse and be constantly doing it ever since I unbolted exhaust.

Could be - you can crawl under the truck and see if there is any play in the u-joints - grab the driveline and shake it - easy diagnosis.

Sure sign of failing u-joints is a clunking noise when putting it in reverse, or vibrations with increased speeds/rpms.

There is a crazy amount of shaking when driving, used to be about once a month or so and just let off the gas and it would go away. Now it's anytime I hit the gas and letting off doesnt work. Hammering down and getting higher RPM's sometimes work but generally doesn't.
