Try ebay, or O'reillys. I usually find that O'reillys is a few bucks cheaper than autozone.

How's the sender accuracy?
I was going to argue this too, but I'll just fast forward and call it a draw.

You can get the pump only for cheaper, but replacement of the whole assembly is recommended. I'll be getting the $105 assembly instead of the $40 pump.

The sender what? Sorry, man. This ***** all new to me.

Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but, when we checked to see if it was getting power, the voltage went up to about 12V or so and then came down and stayed at about 5V or 6V.

sender is what tells your gauge how much fuel you got

A used fuel pump is like betting you won't get VD from a $10 hooker. AND Sean is dead on about buying a used fuel pump. More than likely you'll replace it very soon again. The sender unit is a float on an arm that moves a potentiometer of sorts to send a voltage signal that varies with fuel level. The signal goes to the gauge. It has nothing to do with whether the pump works or not. c.j.

If your planning on keeping the truck for a while, go w/ the assembly. Sean doesn't ever suggest spending money not warranted. His reputation is based on consistency. Ignore it at your own risk. Senders usually go before the pump. You just lucked out till now.

So, I ended up just buying the fuel pump and not the entire assembly, just couldn't afford it right now. Got it in today and she's starting up just fine now

Took her for a short ride, and when I got back to my house a put my tools in the shed, then when I was walking by her on the way inside the house I saw something leaking. What the ? My first thought was a fuel line came undone or something, so I got down put my finger in so I could smell it to confirm. Nope, not fuel. Fooking brake fluid down by the fuel fill end of the truck. I swear every time I fix something on this thing, something else breaks! She's gonna be brand new by the time I'm done!
