Default Unhappy reverse

My 1990 4wd xlt lariat jumps and then sags towards the rear left everytime the reverse is engaged. Once in reverse she drives fine, and once I put her back in drive she picks herself up and takes off like an sob. Anybody have any clues as to why it engages so hard? Saving up for new shocks/ leaf springs. Hoping that will even out her leaning bed too

Do you have broken leaf springs or shackles?

They're certainly worn, but I don't think anything is broken. Is there anything I should be looking out for?

They sometimes break between the u-bolts on the axle, see if its sagging there. Shocks are another things too. Does it surge because of the sag or are you having a tranny problem too?

Tranny seems to be ok. I wouldn't rule it out though. Shocks need to be done anyhow so I suppose if that doesn't help I can narrow it down some. I'm still
New to cars and trucks lol how can I tell if a bushing is going bad?

If you lift up the back of the truck, wheels off the ground, you should see the obvious places where it would sag, if you can lift the axle and see and hear parts moving and clunking like the leaf springs and shocks, bushings. you will be able to tell what doesn't look right.

And take pictures so we can tell you what you need!

Al for the leaning I can't say... When I get in my truck start it up, ect. I put it into drive or reverse it slams into gear. The tranny is under warranty so I drove it to the shop and they is it was high pressure or a high pressure line something like that. It helped a little with the problem but I got to thinking its the rearend I'm thinking the rack and pinion or something or where it connects to the driveshaft.
