Default underdrive pulleys

i will be getting some pulleys for my truck in about 2 weeks and was wondering what the best brand/kind is. also would i notice a difference with the pulleys? everyone iv talked to says i will but i want an opinion from more people. my truck is a 96 with the 5.0 already has cold air mod with filter.

Any brand is fine. I found a cheap set of Moroso pulleys on ebay a while ago.

Realisticly they should make about a 5-8hp improvement but just like when I put mine on I doubt you will feel the extra power in a under powered very heavy truck.

thanks for the imput. i figured id gain around 5 hp, and i also heard that the aluminum pulleys cause your belt to slip more. iv only heard 1 person say it so it may have just been his vehicle.

the pulleys are smaller then stock, which makes it easier for the engine to turn. you dont really GAIN hp from the engine. you just free up hp it already has.

If you buy the 3 pulley kit then you can still use the same belt. The percentage they make the crank pulley smaller is the same percentage they make the other 2 pulleys bigger so belt still has the same length to cover.
