Default U-Joint Failure! Need Help!

Hey guys, run into a problem.

The U-Joint on my truck just failed, dropping the driveshaft out of my truck...sadly, it took more with it.

It also broke the slip yoke coming out of my Transfer Case. If you dont know what Im talking about, its a y shaped piece of metal with splines inside of it that holds the U-Joint to the rear drive shaft. I have the new joint, but without this part working on it is futile.

All the places I've called do not have this part. The only other places I can think of are junkyards and calling a dealer.

So Im wondering, are those my only options? I'm sure a dealer will have it, but I'd rather not have to pay top dollar for something I can find for 50 bucks.

Oh, its my 89 F150, 4.9L, with a stock Transfer Case( I think its a Borg-Warner)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
-Austin

Call a driveshaft place. Junkyard is good too.

Junkyards may have them, probably for cheaper than 50$

Don't get me wrong; the dealerships are way too proud of a lot of the parts they offer, but sometimes the price would really shock you. It's at least worth a phone call to see if they have it and how much it will be.
