upside is more power, and if the turbo kit is pieced together correctly with proper tuning, the risk of blowing the motor up is minimal to none. and a 1.1 ar on a turbo is ridiculous huge for a 5.0. you should not really need more than a 70 trim and even thats pushing it to the high rpm band for usable power. 8:1 compression will work fine and 8 to 10 pounds with a decent motor build will easily get you to 400 whp. and i also would recommend the use of megasquirt, my buddy uses it on his turbo probe and turbo miata, and another buddy uses it on his 250 shot mx6, with a knowledge tuner, it will work perfectly with your setup. im currently trying to sell my car so i can do a megasquirt setup on my 93.

i meant my 93 f150. i got a 95 sprayed mx6 right now im trying to get rid of to use the money on the truck. i got busted for street racing so the car has to go. i used to have a 96 mx6 m edition but sold it a while ago. my buddy has a 94 probe gt turbo, its a damn beast, its got a klze high compression motor, boosting 14 psi with a t3/t4, megasquirted. if one of the few times we could keep a tranny in it, we got a decent tune on it, and pulled a c5 vette pretty bad.

not bad, you on any of the probe/mx6 forums? what was done to your 94, right now i got the 95 with a afpr, cai, exhaust, and zex 75, i think before i sell it, im gonna try to make it down to the local track and try to get a pass out of it, but i think the 18X8s are gonna hurt me a little.

ive got two td04-hl's and together they might be just barley big enough for a stock-ish 5.0 but i KNOW there too small for a 5.8(like i have) but the 7.3l diesels use 1.17 a/r and they run about 20psi at 1000 rpm so airflow has a lot to do with it too not just A/R. i was going to put a 7.3 turbo on my 5.8 but they sold the truck i was going to get it from.:glare: the TD04-HL is maxxed out on size at like 2.5l. hope this helps
