That should not have really affected it, except if the flywheel was warped, the rust would have worn off the only affect that would have is the possible longevity of the disc.

Okay, the whole shake thing with my truck, it's not too bad. I've gotten used to it. So I could live with it as long as it's not going to ruin anything? have you ever heard of that kind of symptom hurting anything?

The shaking will very quickly break all the springs in the clutch disk resulting in harsher hook up creating more broken parts. With just sanding the rust off you might have some residual oil on the flywheel resulting in contamination of the clutch disk.

Okay, is there something I can do to tell if it is the clutch? or.. is it a bigger job than what I think it is.

Does it shake when the pedal is pushed in or just when the clutch is released?

It's only when the clutch is released it only 1st taking off and Reverse taking off. The rest of the gears while driving are just fine.

Sounds like the clutch is slipping or the springs in the disc are too stiff or bad, the springs in the clutch take up the stress put on the disc, and when the truck is moving there is not as much load on the clutch.

So it could actually be bad right from factory?

Anything is possible. Not every part works right from the factory. Even hi dollar high quality parts break.

The clutch is probably totally fine, but the flywheel is warped.
