Default truck boxes

so i finally got a tool box for my truck. now i can get all my crap in there and not in the cab. i searched craigslist for months and jumped on a single lid diamond plate box that came up for 25 bucks. i then spent 50 bucks on locks and shocks.
75 bucks for a box that normally goes for 125 used online. i am happy. i am just wondering how many others use truck boxes and whether you went the new or used route.

I am looking for one and can't decide. New or old and also looking for an easy install , another question is will it scratch up my bed since it sits on the bed ? Can I but something under it before I latch it down ?

Got a free one with my 95 f150. Craftsman but no keys for it. Single lid. Shocks are junk but who really needs them they hold the lid up fine

I bought Better Built from someone I know for $50. He cleaned it up and made everything worked too. All I had to do was put it on my truck.

I bought this one.

Good price, and the perfect size for me. Doesn't take up hardly any bed space.

Got mine brand new for birthday from the girlfriend. Just a simple single lid tractor supply box. Think she's spent 150$ on it. Had for 2 years now. I keep everything in there. 2.5 gal gas tank, backpack, tools, extra bulbs, fuses, emergency clothes and blanket. And roadside kit. Its about as deep as the bed so there's plenty of room.

Yeah, most like mine brand new, come with rubber foam strips of padding that you can lay between the bed rail and box.
