Transmission problems

I have a 92 f 150 with 5.0 and auto trans with aod and the trans will not go into park it says p but it is really in reverse does anyone have a good idea of this problem

Broken shift pawl (inside the tranny accessible by removing the pan), misadjusted or bent shift linkage or obstructed shift linkage.
