Hi i am trying to figure out what transmission this is.I bought a 94 ford f150 with 33s and a 4 inch lift and the transmission thats in it wont shift in drive you can put it in second and it stays in second and if its in drive it stays in first and u can put it in first and it stays in first It Doesnt slip or anything(Im Hoping this could be an easy fix).It came with another transmission in the back of it that was supposedly going to fit . I beleive it is either a c6 or a c4 it has 17 bolts on the oil pan i think .i think the one thats in the truck is a A40D.also i was looking under the truck at the rear end and theres a connector in the rear end thts not hooked up and the wires that ar supposed to go into it hve the connector cut offim not sure what this does. any help is greatly appreciated. i can get better pics also

well i hooked up the wires to the rear end and it shifts now . it shifts a little rough into second but third is smooth i dont know if o/d works the light is out but it makes a noise when i push the button. (the truck isnt registered so i cant go on the main road) when i put it in revese it goes in a little hard and kind of kicks theres no slipping or anything. i still havnt pulled the pan off it.id like to find out if the blue tranny is a c6
