Default what to do about o2 sensors

i have recently been thinking about building my own true dual exhaust since i work in a metal fabrication shop but i am not sure what to do with the o2 sesor that is currently on a small conecting pipe just before the Y. i know some have another somewhere but i havent seen one down there. its a 95 with the 5.8 as listed below

buy the bungs and weld them into the pipe....

The OBD II system has 3 O2 sensors, the OBD I only has on sensor that is usually mounted on a crossover pipe before the first cat on a v8. You can mount it in either manifold and get by like that. Most will mount in the passengers side since that is where the wires currently are.

so it still reads properly if its only reading half the exhaust?

Yes, it will read correctly but, if you run into a lean or rich issue on the other bank, you or the computer won't know.

My suggestion - when you do your duals, add an "H" or "X" pipe, it helps with performance anyway by equalizing the cylinder pressure between the two cylinder banks, then you can install the single O2 sensor right in the H or X pipe area.
