Default trans problems

okay so i have a 93 f150 5.8L v8 with the e40d 20 bolt trans. i just blew it out. i have no forwrd gears only reverse.
i have found 2 used transmissions but not sure if they will match up the first one is an e40d out of a 97 ford f250 powerstroke. will it match up?
second is an e40d out of a 94 e250 7.5L gas engine.
will either of these bolt up to mine?

I think the '94 one will work, but I'm not sure. Better wait for someone else to answer.

neither will work...

the 7.5L has the big bolt pattern...

only the 4.9L, 5.0L and 5.8L will work....the others are different...

although the guts are probably the same the cases are different...

Correct the guts are the same and the cases are different.......7.5 is a 460....big blocks and smallblocks use different patterns. To help you with your hunt....find an E4OD that came from behind a 4.9, a 5.0 or another 5.8.

Anybody know where I can find one for cheap? And if the guts are the same could I have someone rebuild my trans with those guts?

Well the thing is that money us really tight right now. And the one out of the 94 is an e40d and it's for a pretty good price. I just wanna make sure the guts srebtge same that way I'm not eating money I don't really have. So ifni can just swap the guts that's what i'll do. I just wanna make sure it'll work
