Default trannsmission controll

i currently have an E40D tranny. i am puting a megasquirt in my truck and need a way to control the transmission sense it is computer controled is there a way to do this or do i just need a tranny swap to an AOD

Wow, that's a lot of work. I hope you're planning some radical engine mods to justify the MS. I think it would be easier to just swap in a 94-95 F-150 5.0/E4OD mass air harness and computer and put in an HO cam, provided you aren't going forced induction or race heads/cam...

In that case, I think an AOD is probably the best scenerio.
