Default trailer hitch

Hey all i need to put a receiver on my truck. Was looking under there today were it mounts to the frame rails. Looks really weak compared to my old chevy trucks. Do the hitches bolt stright up. or do they mount to the side of the frame rails on fords? Just want to make sure i get the right kind.
thanks jay

My Reese bolted to the bottom of the frame rails. Even though it was supposed to bolt right on I had to drill the frame because there were no holes.

yup same deal with me, i had to drill holes, but lets just say, its not weak AT ALL. iv'e towed my old El Camino project with it with no problems, as well as pulling vehicles out of mud holes with it too

Yup. Went to the junkyard and found one that would fit (I measured the frame rails before hand). Straitened the rails from a previous rearender and drilled them to make the hitch fit.

$20 and I'm in bidness
