Towing thread/pics
I did the vin search on here and it said I've got the 3.08s but I've actually got plenty of get up towing or just regular driving I'm gonna look more into it and see if I really have the 3.08s
My buddy is a Firefighter and owns a small Lawn/Landscaping buisness on the side. A few summers ago his 06 Silverado gave up on him and he had nothing to tow with. So I let him use my truck in exchange for some part time work. His business has expanded quite a bit since then, and he has a work truck now (2012 F150) that is set up to carry all the mowers and equipment in the bed of that truck. So when he has big jobs that require the trailer for carrying things (mulch, sod, rocks, bricks, trees, etc...) he calls me.
And besides the occasional weekend boat tow to the lake that's all the trailer towing my truck sees. My 8 Foot bed comes in handy, so there is rarely something I need to put in a trailer, that I cant fit in my bed (my dirt bike and jon boat I throw in the bed)
This picture is also before I did anything with my truck. I now have 31' bfg a/t KO's on the stock rims and a leveling kit. I love the way the stock rims look so I have no desire to change them. Its just a 4.9L with the 3.08 gears.
