The insurance company valued my truck at $1000 at a total loss. I told them "screw you, you'll have to do better than that". I ended up with $1499 and kept the truck and title status as the same. Fixed the truck enough for $150. The accident wasn't my fault. I also got $650 for damage to my trailer and didn't fix crap on it.
Lots of pics in my "Accident" album.

Basically the same thing as me except your hood was probably still good. My bed is fine but yous is kinda screwed. But did the/whole fender piece come off in one piece and a new fender come with the new panel on the inside??

i may be able to salvage the right fender, use a slide hammer on the right rear lower bed corner, and salvage the core support. so, that lowered my cost even more.
my brother inlaw suggested that i just take it to a body shop and get an estimate on body repair and paint. but they won't try to salvage anything, therefore, getting more money out of me.

I went pretty cheap too. I didn't want to buy the radiator support so I beat it until I liked how it looked. I didn't buy the bumper, I just tied it to a pole and backed up. It bent into the tire and blew it out, which kept it from rolling and threw me into a spin. I'm going to start working on the bed soon.

ohh, i wish i went into a spin, i probably wouldn't have this thread posted lol. maybe everything would be fine. who knows.
i'm going to make it drivable for a lil while until i can get the loan and go to the body shop so i can get a quote. something just to get me from school to work back home.
i'm going to beat the left fender out and get my hood back to where it should be so it will latch. it should work fine.

It won't be easy to beat out that fender. The way it's made you can't get behind it. Like I said, I fixed mine for about $150 so I would think you could find parts cheap enough at the junkyard. I think the fender was $30 and they get under $100 for hoods around here. I'd go with used factory parts before I bought new aftermarket ones as they don't fit the same. Although this would be an excellent time to upgrade to a cowl induction hood.
