Tires?
Personal experience with the Firestone Dest AT... What a GREAT tire that was. 3 of the 4 balanced perfect with no weight and the 4th took a quarter shot. Rode like a dream and I got every bit of 60K out of them. I have BFG AT/KO's now (was on truck when bought), they have about 45K on them now. No complaints - another great tire.
Ran some Hankook DynaPro ATMs once. TERRIBLE tire - at least in the 285/70/17 size. Ungodly amount of lead to balance and still had a crappy ride. If you had a cup of coffee in your hand, you was wearing it by the time you hit 40mph.
Cooper and Toyo also make good tires, but the choice is ultimately up to you.
