Default Tire size question

Will 35x12.5x15's fit on my stock 94 rims? I think that stocks are 15x8's? And with a 6" lift the tires will fit but may rub when turning right?

Thanks

Eh, not so fast, Cisco.

IIRC (and many times I don't) - the stock steel wheels were 15x6, the sport wheels were 15x7.

Even with an 8" rim - suggest 12.5" tires will look like a doughnut. Rule-of-thumb I've gone by is that the rim should be no more than 2" narrower than the tire - of course, this can be pushed a bit, depending on taste.

Got 12" rims for my 33x12.50s on a CJ5 - looks good and balanced, IMHO. :-)

uhh.. THAT i weird, sorry. to his their own, but a 15x8 is perfect for a 10.50-12.50. trailer climbers etc do it all the time. watch your air pressure thats about it. get a tire with real sidewalls too that's important regardless though.

10" optimum wheel width, 8" is fine, but under don't do a 12.50.

6" wheels i wouldn't put 10.5s on either

15x8 is fine for a 35x15.5x15 Stock wheels may make your tires rub on the radius arms or bumper... I've even seen 35x12.5 on a 15x12 wheel which I don't recommend.

I looked at the rims and it said 15x6

So I guess no 12.5 wide on those rims

I leveled mine and put on 32x11.5's, they rub when I crank the wheel. ya need a 10" rim for 12.5's IMO. you'll get away with 33's tho.

I've got a 4 inch lift on my 89 with 32 11.5's and they still rub on the radius arms. No way to fix that unless you put aftermarket arms on. I bet you'd get 33s on, they'd rub like hell tho.
