Default timing questions

i have 93 f150 5.0. i had headers put on the other day by a shop and when i got it back, my truck was in shambles. lol ran like garbage and they didnt even put my fender well back in. i had to take the truck the way it was and took it to another shop to have the rest of the exhaust put on. i was thinking it was running rough because of that, but it turns out they mixed up a couple of my plug wires. my question is will this mess with my timing? i ended up driving probably 15-20 miles with the wires backwards.

im taking my truck back to that shop either tomorrow or wed to have them put my fenderwell back in and just wanted to know if i should make them reset or atleast check my timing as penance for them mixing the wires up?

i do not have a timing gun, nor have a set timing on a vehicle before. and i wont be paying for them to do any of this work.

thanks for any adivice guys! appreciate it.

At the worst you've got gas in the oil. Free oil change.

Yeah won't mess with timing, just some cylinders might have flooded with more fuel so get your oil changed soon. But why did they take off plug wires to change header?

Probably yanked the plugs too so they didn t get broken, or they hung ove the flange.
Probably threw a bunch of codes because of the missfire ,crossfire, wtffiring it was doing.
Probably just rattled all the carbon out ,so now it ll run better.

i didnt notice any smoke or anything while it was running, but i think they pulled the wires just so they werent in the way. it didnt throw any codes oddly enough. i hope thats not a bad thing haha. and i'll go sniff the oil here in a bit see if i can smell anything.

thanks guys. i didnt know that having the wires swapped could put gas in the oil. which sucks because i just did the oil like 2 weeks ago lol
