Why such an odd number? Your harmonic balancer only has them marked in 2 degree increments. GOOD LUCK getting that number. even a 1 degree mark between them would be difficult. I can't think that a .5 would even be possible. Mine is advanced to 16 degrees and I LOVE IT.

thats a real easy question to answer

if we had the info of your truck good buddy

i'll make a list for you to answer

1. engine
2. what performance upgrades do you have?
2a. ignition parts
2a1. coil
2a2. cap and rotor wires
2b. intake system
2b1. filter, full intake
2b2. aftermarket intake and throtlte body
2c. exhaust
2c1. headers
2c2. cats or no cats
2c3. true duals, or what not.

i'm asking this because differant parts will let you bump the timing differantly

you get a timing light lossen the distributer hold down bolt, start the truuck point the light at the harmonic balancer, should flash when the line on the balancer hits the timing gauge turn the distributer untill the light starts to flash at the number you want.

Loosen the set bolt, grab the distributor, twist your wrist a tad farther than you do to get 14BTDC!

ever have a distributor that was frozen in place? I cant get mine to budge. Ive been hitting it with pb blaster everytime before I drive it thinking that the heat will make it soak in and eventually free it up... It hasnt worked so far

I seem to remember vice grips being involved, the first time I tried adjusting mine. W/ set bolt loosened.
