Default tie rod

ok i got a 87 f-250 4x4 xlt lariot, love it, i sleep in ford pajamas....lol yesterday i hit a stump out wheeling. busted my tierod (drivers side), in haif at the sleeve. im having a hard time finding one, im poor so need a junk yard find.... found alot of 2 wheel drive trucks 150- 350 f- series, would this work on my ndn thunder f-250? (ndn thunder) is her name...

Welcome to the board!

You could try searching an auto parts website, like www.partsamerica.com for the part you need. Then, check to see if the part number is the same for 2wd as 4wd. If the part number is the same, then the 2wd part should fit your 4wd.

Tie rods are only like $15. A junk yard won't give one to you for much less, there is usually a minimum charge of $5 for any part. You should just get a new one. A tie rod end isn't a good part to buy used.
