Hi everyone new here. I just bought a 1995 4x4 with 5.0 and had an issue with the throttle cable. I purchased a new one and installed it today. the only problem now is that when you crank the truck it runs up to 3000 rpm. If you disconnect cable from pedal it drops back down to regular idle. Question is how do you adjust the cable to get the gas off of it.

It's not adjustable. Wrong cable or you screwed it up.
