Default Throttle body spacers??

Is any one running a throttle body spacer on there trucks like this one? http://www.jcwhitney.com/jcwhitney/p...336&id=3475939
Have u guys goten any gains with this, and if its worth it?

Here comes the opinions flying.

There are very little people on here with hard experience with these things. You will likely get 900 responses about them being paperweights. I am one of the skeptics but I am also a "show me" kinda guy.

Get one... Do a before/after dyno. Then we will all know.

I personally believe that they will do NOTHING without other mods such as a tuner and an intake. I could be wrong though.

Here's some fact, not opinion. I worked in a mustang performance shop for several years before hurricane Katrina. We were never, ever able to produce verifiable repeatable increases in HP or torque from a throttle body spacer. They are garbage. They are gimmicks. They don't work.

Think of it this way. When your intake valve is open and your piston is dropping, it is going to suck in the same amount of air every time, regardless of how the air gets to that point. The only way to increase the amount of air in the cylinder prior to combustion is through forced induction.

Alrighty, but in some of the revvues on the site they say it does work????
