Default Throttle Accelerates after gas is released

I have a '95 with a 302...The issue is that despite releasing the gas pedal, the truck continues to accelerate then finally go down...I just changed the TPS, and the issue remains...any ideas? Thanks

How long after you release the peddle does that truck accelerate for?

Perhaps inspect and clean the Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid.

This thread is a reincarnation from his other current thread.

More than likely this unit has cruise control. Disconnect the cruise linkage and then drive it.

That's thinking out of the box, and very possible!

Nice, this is a problem on mine too. I'd describe it as not idling down when you depress the clutch mid-shift.
A new cap & rotor, plugs and wires smoothed it up a bit, but now it is still an intermittent problem. If I give the pedal a bump it will then idle down as it should.
Sound like an idiot with my truck revving between gears tho.

Well, I have replaced both the TPS and IAC now, but the problem still persists...Where can I find the cruise linkage, I will give that a shot...Thanks
