Default Taking your advice

So I'm taking all of your advice and putting the EGR and O2's back on. Im trying to find the EGR system off a wrecked truck, but there are no 5.8L around me only 5.0L and 4.9L. Can I use their EGR systems on my 5.8L and can I use the O2's off these vehicles as well. Or are these components engine specific.

I'm not 100% sure, but I would guess the 5.0 parts to be ok. I don't think the EGR for the 4.9 is the same though.

I'm sure someone with more wisdom than I can muster will be along soon with a definite answer.

I did a little more checking and you should be able to use the oxygen sensor harness from a '92-'95 5.0 or from a '94-'95 4.9. Just the harness, I'm not sure about the sensor itself. Do like Dominick says and have the parts store cross reference the numbers.

Also check the F and E 250 and 350, these tend to have the 351 as the base engine and the drivetrain is interchangeable.
