Default Tail lights not working

I need some help please. I just purchased this 1990 F250 and was working on the trailer plug and I shorted a wire out. I have brake and turn signals however I have no tail lights on the truck, the front marker light and dash lights work and I have checked the fuse and it is fine when I remove the dash light and front marker light go out. So any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be greatly apprecitated not sure if its a ground or possible bad wire on the back of the truck.
Thanks
Tim

Just stating the obvious, but did you check the bulbs? If they are good and the fuse is still intact sounds like you have a wire that grounded somewhere along the frame.

X 2. check the bulb first. The tail light burns off of a separate element then the stop and turn signal

Default Fixed

Problum is fixed. I started with a light tester and found where I had power and worked forward from there. It is so sad what people do when hooking up trailer plugs a few extra mins would save lots of trouble later down the road. Thanks for all the info guys and have a wonderful weekend.
