ah, got a new transfer case in transit to me now. I guess i'll have to see about getting a skid for this one since I plan on going to some local offroad parks, would hate to crush it on a rock.

Alright I took delivery on my new transfer case. I noticed they just cut the shifter linkage in half before they sent it. Looks like it slides over a little rubber bushing and onto the little lever that goes into the actual case. Do you just need to force this thing off?

yes...lube it up real good...the more lube the better...dry it aint coming off
