Default Syncors

if thats how you spell it. I have a 93 with 152000 miles on it. had 140000 when i bought it so i dont know much about the past. when i shift in to third if you listen closely you can hear little small almost like etching noises. Ive been told its my synchros grinding. does anyone know if it is? and if theres anything to do about it? ive been told no, but want to make sure.

Sounds like gear whine to me. Check and change the tranny fluid. Put a good synthetic fluid in it and see what she does.

Lucas makes a Trans Additive that some people swear by. We used in a car that had some TC issues and it went another 30k without a problem when we sold it.

The time to add it is when you do a fluid change since you'll use about a quart.
