Post some pics. I've had to do lots of transferring of parts from mirror to mirror on the e-350 & e-450 ambulances at work. Not sure if what your describing will work or not without looking at them from the mounting side toward the front of the vehicle.

Is the round blind spot mirror actually part of the main mirror. I've never seen one like that. It must be a peel and stick blind spot mirror. I'm guessing by the pics that you can squirt a little goo off around the round mirror and let it sit for a few minutes and gently pull it off. The round mirrors we use are a separate piece mounted on it's own bracket below the main mirror.

Probably rust. I can't see how that mirror is mounted from your pics. If it's on the round ball socket, your pretty much SOL. If it's mounted with the end of the tube going into the mirror, you might be able to wiggle it off the end of the tube. It's going to have a plastic bushing that holds it on there and the bushing probably won't go back on. Your probably stuck with what you got. If it were me and I absolutely had to keep the mirrors, I'd drill a hole in the bottom of the mirror housing, grab your WD40 and squirt enough in there to splash it around and try to wash the crap out and plug the hole. Don't know how the silver on the back of the mirror will act with WD40. You might end up with a clear piece of glass. Sorry about your situation. Did you get to see what you were buying before you bought them?

If you ever got used to the spot mirrors, you'd be lost without them. I normally put them on vehicles as soon as I acquire a new one. Give them a try for a week. If after that you don't like them, use a long blade razor knife and cut them off. They looked like the stick on type to me. Once the mirror is off, use a solvent and razor to remove the sticky leftovers.

You would like the spot mirrors if you actually used them but I, like you, don't like the look so therefore I don't use them. They are a good idea and are used on many larger vehicles such as buses and large moving trucks which help you to see blind spots a lot more clearer.

I'm not the biggest fan of the look of the spot mirrors, but I have a little 2 inch one on each side. I never thought I had blind spots before I installed them, just wanted to see my tires as I was backing up at work. But they have saved me a couple times from little Corollas and what not that sit under my window level and that my big mirrors can't see
