Suspension Thoughts
Hello,
Gentlemen,
I recently purchased a 1996 F-150 5.0 4X4 long bed. Im interested in peoples opinion on the best / cheapest option to gain about 3 inches of lift while increasing the stiffness of the suspension. I ocassionally will haul cars, by ocassionaly I mean once a month max, and no more than 2 hours away. I found a coil spring and rear leaf helper kit on summit for about $300. I would also like to know what else I might need to lift the truck like cast camber plates etc. Any information / input on where to buy or what to purchase would be appreciated.
Thanks

I bought my 4 inch Rough Country lift off of ebay for about 450 bucks, shocks and all....the shocks were crap, and I wouldnt recommend using them but the lift seems to be working out good, and its been on for about 2 years. Comes with everything to lift it. That stiffened up the front quite a bit, but as for the rear you might just want to go buy an add a leaf, should do the trick for the back.
