Default surging when put ac on

I have a 95 150 302 motor. I am not getting any lights at all. When I turn the ac on doesn't matter what setting the truck get jumpy and kinda gitters while driving. At a light it surges and jumps and after about 20-25 seconds it will stall out.

Also when I get to about 1500 rpms in the last gear it acts like it is misfiring and shakes. if i down shift or get above 2000 rpms it goes away.

Any help would be great. Any other info needed let me know.

what u mean , your no getting any lights? start by checking the A/C clutch at compressor , make sure bearing its ok and spins free.

Check for codes. Just because there's no light doesn't mean there are no codes. Check the a/c system for freon, it may be low and the compressor will cycle off and on dragging the engine as it does it.

Default problem fixed

I wanted to let everyone know that i did fix the problem. I was not getting any codes. I went and had the ac recharged as it was extremely low. It fixed the problem. No more surging when the ac is on.

I still have the problem when in the last gear that i get some vibration under 1500 rpms though. It is acting as thought the timing is off, but only in the last gear.
