Are you using cruise control? Does the speedo needle bounce?

I don't use my cruise, speedo doesn't bounce at all, I just hear the engine wind up a little, and my busted tach that sits at 3400 always, 3500 at 70, goes to just over 3500 when I'm doing 60 and she surges.

I don't have a clue when the filter was changed, The last service was in '06 I think, I'll have to look at the Sharpie'd records under the hood

Do your actually think your taching 3500 + RPM above 60mph?
