I use to customize vans we put a lot of them in vans, cars and trucks. Very few ever gave problems with leaking. The main thing is to use a good quality sunroof and a neoprene seal and not the sticky black tape type seal it will bleed out from under the frame and cause problems and a mess.

Wouldn't it make the cab noticeably hotter in the summer?

Thanks, I will see if CR Lawrence still has them, and not necessarily, they are usually tinted to keep the sun out, besides when it is open it will let the heat out.
