Default Sub box!

Sup everyone! As you can tell I'm very excited. I'm building a sub box tomorrow for two 8's, it's going to be ported with both the subs and the port facing up. Going to be tuned to 35 Hz. The dimensions are 40 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 9 inches deep. If any of y'all are interested I'll post pics and tell y'all how the finished product came out and how it sounds! Box is going in my 91 4.9 single cab behind the seat.

9" deep? You must be a short guy and have the seat pulled forward a bit to get that to fit.

I wasn't going to comment, but I was wondering the same thing. There's no way you can fit 8" subs behind the seat facing up unless your very vertically challenged. I've got my 10" subs in an angled box facing forward behind my seat and can just barely lock my seat back all the way.

I'm 6' 2" and I weigh 320 pounds I'm a big guy and I'm not vertically challenged lol. It fits the seat is almost all the way up but I have tilt steering. I still have a few inches between me and the wheel. I'm used to riding with not much room between me and the wheel because I've always had systems in my truck. I'll post pics.

The box will be hitting the back of the seat though but I want it to because it will hold it in place. Since the subs will be facing up the seat shouldn't hit the subs

Sounds like a winner and you'll probably be authorized by local law enforcement to crank up anything on that system but:

Nice. Are you going to carpet the box or leave as is?
