Default styleside vs flareside? Interchangeable?

Hello, I have a 1996 f150 with the 6foot bed (styleside) I was just wondering if i could replace the bed with a 6foot (flareside) from a 94.

Would everything line up perfectly and would the fuel filler neck match up to the door?

It'll all bolt up fine, but there are no dual tank flaresides, and I think it'll only work if you have the tank in front of the wheel well. You'll need a different filler neck too.

But physically speaking, the bed will bolt to the frame no problem, it's just those other things to look out for

drop a tank, slam a tidy in the box, and route it to the single tank.

Um I beg to differ, the flair sides had duel tanks also! At least 92-96 did, there may be a few that did not but it was an option at least, mine has both, and the fuel filler hoses are different.

You'll have to loose your bumper as the flair sides had(if you can find one ) a smaller rear bumper, most of the ones I've seen have roll pans.

Sounds like I've learned something new today. I thought they were all single tanks

My 92' Flareside has duel tanks, I'm pretty your everything will line up correct EXCEPT the gas filler tubes that go from the gas caps down to the tanks, your going to have to replace those.
