Default Stuck in park.

1992 F150 Flareside 5.0 Automatic

Got in my truck today to leave for work went to put it in reverse and shifter just lost pressure. You can hold it up and show its in park and drop it and will fall down to drive. It has slack between there and when you try to force it on down its solid feels like it will break. and it is stuck in park..

There are a couple of screws under the steering column that come loose. Could be those.

Check out:

This guy does a lot more than needs to get done but you get the point. Basically just look for where the shift cable runs down under the dash and look for the two torx head screws that come loose. That was the problem with mine and it was an easy fix. Hopefully it is for you too.

just a little bit tough of a job, you have to remove a bunch of the steering column and such.

Its hard to jduge peoples skill level via thred, I happen to deal with people who dont know the difference between a fly wheel and a flex plate let alone change there oil filter. So if i say little bit tough i assume you dont know anything at all haha, I do agree with the the knuckleduster restrictions lol

They go in your blinkers, headlights, and taillights. If any of those ever poop out on ya its either the spark plugs or the fluid in the light.
