dont ruin the headers...weld the bung after the collectors...in the actual exhaust pipe....

thats what I would do...it doesnt matter where you pull the exhaust from...

Have been enjoying the posts, been to deep for my experience, have a dumb question. I personnally have never seen a 351W injected, not even the CFI version. Is that why no provision for the knock sensor?

yes you can use copper....I think I would or the largest steel line I could find...?

Bill...there are many 351 fuel injected trucks...it was an option in the 150 and standard in alot of 250 trucks....

most all the 250 Econoline vans had 351s and alot of the 150 econoline conversion vans...

It's not recommended to use copper on vehicles. It's weaker than steel and the vibrations will eventually break the copper.

for the EGR tube it will be fine and it is soft enough to handle the flex...you arent suposed to use copper on cars for gas lines...there is a BIG issue if you do....

have you tried putting an O2 gauge in the truck and seeing what the AFR is during idle, cruise and load...?

I'll bet you're off more than you think...

this just occurred to me today as I was thinking about this...MSD box missing at idle is usually a sign of a lean condition...at idle beings the spark is helping to burn all the fuel...I am betting you have multiple issues here and the only real way to tell is either laptop it and check everything ot use a wideband O2 and see what it's doing AFR wise...a regular O2 will work to but be a little slower to read...just a thought

Well I know for a fact I'm running rich, found out when I called the tech at massair.com I def have to high of fuel press...I didnt know when your adjusting it the vac line has to be disconnected. So I've been runnin bout 50 psi at no vacuum. I got my egr ordered and I'm trackin down some 5/8 copper tubing and such. So I'm gonna get my press set right, and the egr on then go from there. But that is a good idea, how do you hook one up to a laptop?

laptop and reader plugged into the ECM....OR a O2 sensor gauge...basically a AFR gauge..those are 35.00-60.00

laptop need the software and hook ups to read the ECM this is more expensive route...
