Default steering wheel play

is there a way to adjust play in your steering wheel besides changing out the box and things like a pitman arm?

Replacing worn tie-rod ends or the steering shaft flex joint coupling
helps if steering is loose.

Yes you can adjust the box with the screw and jamb nut on the top, but if you don't know what you're doing you can mess it up.

I kind of wanted to know how to fix this too. I've heard that it is the telescoping steering shaft that gets a lot if play in them and there's nothing you can do next to replacing the whole shaft. I'm hoping that it's just the rag joint because my tie rods and drag link are all tight. Any other ideas?
