I also been looking and I agree most of them suck. It seems the only option is to get a Remanufactured Motorcraft. But its a bit steep in price.

I've had good luck with napa parts. Put a steering gear on our 94 250 service truck an no probs with it. I have no complaints bout napas parts...

Priced at $123, if you don't return the 50$ core. So like 75 + shipping ain't too bad. Just go to rockauto.com and follow the site to find the part. I used 'em when I owned my BMW and always sent good parts on time.

I gotta do my gearbox as well, unfortunately I am not knowledgable about how to change it, so I might let a shop touch her

Took me maybe an hour and a half to replace mine. Unhooked the steering lines, the drag link, had to cut off one mounting bolt and was able to use a air ratchet on the second and with a few hits of a hammer came off. Reversed procedure to install, new fluid and good as new. Got the box with a new pitman arm.

What is the problem you are trying to fix by changing the gear box? I ask, because I have a '92 F 150 4x4 and ther is a lot of free play in the steering and was going to change the gear box hoping to fix it.
