Default Steering Column/Wheel

My steering column has excessive play in it. I can rock the wheel up and down, yet the bolts are tight to the dash. This is a manual, without tilt. Does anyone know of a source for a bushing to correct or other experience with this issue etc.? I don't have a diagram of the column, and have only had the cover off to make sure the wheel was securely bolted on.

Keep going, take it apart some more. You won't find the problem until you look. There's a bearing up there.

Might check sources such as rockauto.com or lmctruck.com. Suspect a trip to the junkyard may be the easy-button approach.
