I am having problems when I start the engine will shake a lot. It will keep doing that until i give it a little gas then it will shake a bit more and then start running just fine. Also, sometimes while driving, if i take my foot off the clutch and brake it will start having the same idling problem, and start shaking really bad. I just replaced the cap, roter, plugs, and wires. I'm not really much of a mechanic so any advice would be much appreciated.

I have a 96 XL with a 300 I6

 

That's odd out of a I6....let me ask are you sure you put the plug wires back in the right order?
